And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. Matthew 24:4-13 NASB
BIRTH PANGS It’s the work of Christ within us—the hope of glory.
Make no mistake, God will bring the high places low. He will humble us and dismantle our ego. He will lift the heavy burden from your shoulders and even carry you when you’re too weary to walk on your own. He will put you right where you’re thinking wrong. The Lord will not only save your soul, He’ll transform you into His image! But the road is not easy; we may not feel prepared for such a journey. Fear not. Jesus is preparing His people, preparing the way…. Salvation is the radical redemption of God’s nation. Holy Spirit invites us to push away the clutter, turn off the noise, and offer Him the sacred space in our lives so that the King of Kings may rule and radically change us into the people He predestined before Adam and Eve walked with Him.
We are His carefully formed creation, His fragile sinful anxious complex creation. God’s grace is the rescue when we reach the edge, when we think we've burned all our bridges. He wants us not because we get it right, but because of His great love for His people.
Jesus invites us to seek, knock, ask. To be aware but not anxious. Awake but not alarmed. He teaches us to be relentless in prayer. To give God each and every burden, mistake, question, to give Him our adoration and praise, He is holy holy holy, God of the impossible, God of multiplication, and the mighty God who is returning.
Are we willing to get in our knees, to acknowledge Jesus Christ the Saviour, because He is the King. And His kingdom is at hand. We are miraculously grafted into His royal family line. He secures a place for us, He defends and delivers us as the enemy attempts to consume us. Holy Spirit continually directs us in the way we should go. God forgives us of our sins and restores us to a right place in His kingdom - Jesus meets us on our muddy roads of sin and brings life in ways we never dreamed possible all for the glory of His kingdom.
There is no more beautiful a sound than God’s people rejoicing with Holy Spirit….. To know and love our Creator is to see redemption, sanctification, salvation, come from Him. Our hope is to experience God’s reconciliation with Him. As humble servants, understanding Salvation requires humility, the acknowledgment that life is not about us, but about Jesus Christ. To be crowned with His salvation is life’s greatest honour, Jesus is the Saviour of the world. He is worthy of it all, every word sentence song and speech shared to bring praise honor and worship to the Lord most high.
