“Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;” Hebrews 12:28 NASB

Jesus Christ offers His strong outstretched hand to all who seek His rescue.

The psalmist invites us in Psalm 95 to come before the Lord with joy, shouting aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Worship is a joyful response to God's rescue, His faithfulness and goodness in our lives. It is an opportunity to lift our voices in praise, thanking Him for His unfailing love and grace.

Psalms 95:1-2 NASB “O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.”

Isaiah 43:19-21 NASB “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. The beasts of the field will glorify Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I have given waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My chosen people. The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise.”

God’s definition of rescue doesn’t just mean putting us back together, but it also means to go above and beyond redemption and restoration in making us better than before. We’re always in far better shape after Jesus has gone to work in us than before. It doesn't mean we won’t suffer or feel the growing pains because we will.

That is why we must praise God, we get to worship the king of kings together in a crowd or alone in our living rooms.

2 Peter 3:18 NASB but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

I think we often believe our past has left us too broken to be of any use. We can feel so dismantled and ashamed certain God could never use someone like us. Friend, you are not alone, I’ve felt that. But these are lies the enemy wants us to believe to keep us pinned down, to keep our eyes off of Jesus so that we will not enter God’s eternal kingdom ….. in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we rebuke these thoughts, in fact all thoughts, ideas, definitions, identities that do not line up with the word of God, the will of God are bound and taken captive in the name of Jesus!! AMEN

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NASB For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.

JESUS reaches into the innermost parts of our soul where no one else can go to mend and fill us with grace. To rid us of shame, guilt, sorrow, pain, insecurity, and more. These are works only God can do; no human has the ability to fill our void and depths of the heart.

Praise the Lord! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
