Something Different

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbour has fulfilled the law. For this, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbour; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light.  Romans 13:8-12 NASB

God takes us through this life, we hear the segments between birth and death often referred to as seasons, refining, pruning, sinking, resurfacing.  But we can rest assured, by Faith, that through all of it we are being transformed into His likeness and are commissioned to bear fruit for His kingdom.  

If we, as followers of Christ, gain the understanding that with Jesus Messiah we have found our God-given purpose - and therefore know our lives will be infinitely fulfilled with the presence of the king of kings, we can really quite simply wear an unshakeable faith like a shield, able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (taught in Ephesians 6:16 NASB)

The people God puts in our lives or those He has cross our paths will see the faith that comes from accepting Jesus as our saviour, they will see traits, the fruits, like kindness, self-control, and patient endurance develop and sense something different in us.  The presence of Jesus Christ!
