Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd.  Matthew 9:35-36 NASB

God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit is moving, rumbling across the earth He created. Open your heart to Him. Trust Him with your pain and sorrow. To the hurting and lonely He brings comfort. Jesus personally took upon Himself the grief of all people. He took our sicknesses and burdens, and He carried our sorrows upon His back. He proved Himself a true brother of love and character.

I think this can never be said too often: Jesus’ love, compassion, mercy, and grace are fully and totally available to all. Yes, you. No special requirements. No restrictions. Not a limited-time offer. He gives these things freely to us. And in return we get to love Him back, be welcomed into the Lord’s eternal family, share His love and compassion with others because He resides within us, and imparts upon His people His righteousness, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, mercy.

The enemy of our souls will continue to wage war and try to wreak havoc in us but we know that Jesus has already won the victory on the cross. With thankful hearts, we can look to tomorrow with unwavering hope because our Savior conquered sin and death. Our Defender is stronger than any wicked scheme seeking to destroy us. Come what may, we can praise God because He has filled our lives with every spiritual blessing in Christ and equipped us with His armor when the battle is fierce. When we surrender to Him the Lord guards our minds and protects our hearts.  Because our warrior God faithfully fights for His own, we have nothing to fear.

And not only does He equip and empower us to overcome and uproot the forces of darkness, but in His faithfulness and steadfast love, He also showers us with renewed blessings, renewed hope, and renewed mercies each and every day in Christ Jesus , who is our firm foundation, our rescuer, our redeemer, and our peace!

Think about that: every morning when you open your eyes, you, child of God, have received an abundant supply of mercy and grace to help you meet each day with renewed faith. Our past sins and failures are covered by the blood of Christ, and we can move forward with confidence because we are set free. HALLELUJAH! We are clothed with His compassion; and the stronghold of defeat can no longer hold us captive.

I am learning that regardless of how I feel, or what answered prayer I can or can’t see, I can trust that God’s Word is true. When I calm down and realize He is in control, then I begin to trust. To place my life, our lives, literally in His hands. Our responsibility is to walk forward faithfully, being obedient to live out our time hear as God commands, while being the people He created us to be and has commissioned is to be.

Jesus’ unending hope is alive in our hearts because Jesus lives, and He will return to judge the world.  Until then, may we be His people, prepared for each encounter Holy Spirit brings before us. Let us gather together and praise God who fills our lives with uncontainable joy and peace as we trust in His name. We have countless reasons to be thankful and even more as we anticipate eternity with Jesus Christ.  Our death-defeating Savior holds our future in His mighty hands, and He is preparing a place for His own in heaven.
