The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaint. As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11 NASB
Jesus chose to come to earth as the one and only perfect sacrifice for all of mankind’s sins. He was the sinless Lamb of God who bore all of our sins on Him so that in the shedding of His blood we received atonement and redemption once and for all.
The crucifixion is the most savage and the most beautiful, priceless exchange made by God to save His people. As Easter approaches in a couple of weeks, we will worship Jesus Christ whose body which was broken and His blood which was shed for humanity in order to provide us with the gift of salvation. The only condition that is placed before us as we receive this free gift of life is to come before God with a repentant heart. Without repentance, forgiveness is cheapened. Without contrition, salvation has no value. God is still as Holy as He was during the times of the old Testament. Holy holy holy. He is deserving of all the Honour, all the praise and and all of the Glory. He is awe inspiring in wonder and incredibly magnificent. No words can suitably describe His greatness and might. The Bible teaches that when we confess our sins Jesus Christ is faithful and just to forgive us of all our unrighteousness. His sacrifice didn’t just purify us it also restored us. It restored our relationship with God, we can now approach His throne with restored hope of eternal life for every one of us who believe in Him.
He is coming soon….
