The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.  Psalms 19:7-8 NASB

That’s not a “maybe” or “if He feels like it.” It’s a promise that the Lord will restore His people to a better place. We might feel like our past has left us too broken to be of any use. We might feel so used and ashamed that God could never use someone like us, we are not alone in those feelings, saints have gone before us, chosen and loved by God. But these are lies the enemy wants us to believe to keep us down so that we won’t fulfill God’s purpose for our lives. Pray! Deny these thoughts and know that when God puts us back together there’s more than an external picture of being put back together like a broken vase, God does an internal working in our heart, soul, and mind that is a healing of sorts as well.   He wants to reach down into the innermost parts of our soul where no one else can go to mend and fill with grace. To rid us of shame, guilt, sorrow, pain, insecurity, and more. These are works only God can do; no human has the ability to fill the void and depths of the heart.

1 Peter 1:13-19 NASB Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

Take that step, ask for Holy Spirit to walk along side, forgive those who've wounded you, surrender the tight grip of control, ask for forgiveness for the damage you've done, our moving forward from this point requires accepting God’s grace and walking in the freedom He has given us from bondage that held us tied to bad habits, addictions, damaging behaviours. Do that and we are one step closer to flourishing, planted by God..... Its what Jesus Christ has done, and still continues to do for any who ask it of Him. Yes my friends, make room, invite the Lord into every aspect of your life …. God gives mankind the free gift of choice, and though He could with all majesty and power blow our doors down, He will not, we must make the choice that matters in eternity, will we choose the enemy’s camp OR Jesus Christ’s army.

Matthew 24:32-44 NASB Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.  “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.  Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

When the disciples asked Jesus what the signs of His return would be, He didn’t just warn them of systemic meltdowns across the globe, He also cautioned that normality would essentially be a sign in and of itself. While He foretold of intensifying wars, rumors of new wars, nation rising against nation, earthquakes, famines, and all the rest, He stressed that He would return to a world where life would appear to be normal — not abnormal.

The Bible teaches of the days drifting into each other as usual in the midst of a world unravelling. Jesus described people across the globe marrying, eating, drinking, sleeping, or working amid intensifying earthquakes, wars, diseases, famines, and more, all roaring like a tornado around mankind. His point was that all these things would go on right up to the day of His coming, just as they have to this day.

Holy Spirit, help us comprehend, what does this mean for us? Life on our planet will proceed as usual even as iniquity abounds and these signs develop a terrifying traction. Jesus made the humdrum routine of everyday people a sign of His return when He taught as recorded in the book of Matthew.   Jesus told us to ask Him, seek after Him, knock on God’s door - These are words of action—actions we can all do for the glory of God’s kingdom, for the salvation of souls!

Remember, God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit loves His creation, all of humanity.  Holy Spirit removes from us what is dead in sin.  we are corrected, we are redeemed, we are given the CHOICE to repent and run alongside Jesus, He is the only way to eternal life. And when we step in stride with Jesus He invites us into the lives of others to be part of their salvation story, to be a steady presence in our communities, a friendly face in our neighbourhoods.

We will be active by Holy Spirit’s strength because God intends His church to be a great multitude, a community of hope, revival, and supernatural power ready for the return of Jesus in the midst of the darkening in this world. People must now turn to God for the answers only He can give, all who have sincerely given their hearts to Jesus Christ, need to be ready. I urge you to live in God’s perfect will for your days here, discern the times we are wading through and seek Holy Spirit's wisdom, yes! participate in God’s kingdoms purposes!
