Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NASB
Jesus loves us unfailingly through the ages, by His sacrifice God has made Himself available to us. We might not feel good enough to work for Him, to take up the tasks He gives us - remember though ! Holy Spirit is with us when we repent, when we willingly receive Jesus Christ as the Saviour, our personal saviour and saviour to mankind! He teaches us, imparts knowledge, understanding, God pours into His people His gifts (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control Galatians 5:22-23) and gives what He knows we need.
Where we can find our endurance and courage is in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is lord of lords, He is the king of Kings. God is constantly providing for our purpose here on Earth and preparing us for our eternal stay in His kingdom.
We are to pray bold prayers for changed lives. We are to thank God with worship and praise - throughout the wild ride that is life - and we need to learn to accept that it probably will not be a “safe” journey. We’re going to struggle, we’re going to get hurt, and we’re going to fall.
But we will be put on solid ground when we reach for the strong unfailing outstretched hand of Jesus. He loves us with a love that surpasses our understanding. Let’s be grateful for the joy up on the mountain and celebrate the paths out of the valleys. May we focus on Jesus, stay prepared to battle as He directs, reevaluate, adapt, overcome, and pause as He directs.
No matter the situation, The Lord is with us through every dark day. Trust in Him and let Him guide you to find the learning in falling. And endurance in the standing up, dusting off and stepping forward again journeys.
I wouldn’t change the freedom Jesus Christ brings for anything.
HALLELUJAH! He speaks and the storm is stopped, the sea calmed. Jesus is direct and personal. He is there, discussing life issues with you. Holy Spiritgently goes to those broken places in our heart and He breathes peace into our soul. Jesus is safe. Jesus’ words don’t just have power – they create power. Jesus’ words create life.
He is the Person we will become intimately acquainted with as we read the Bible. His word. He loves you. He loves each person. He has made us in His image. Our heartfelt prayer is that you get to know Jesus as your Redeemer. Messiah. Teacher. God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit. The One who invites us to walk with Him through this world He created. And asks us to not only share the Gospel but live it as He directs.
