If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, And the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to Lord, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.  1 Timothy 1:12-16 NASB

Has the radiant sparkle of Christmas illuminated the reality that we are stepping into a new year that contains far more darkness and obscurity than we care to admit?  There is much about Christmas people have created that can be noisy. And distracting. Pulling our eyes ears and thoughts away from Jesus. But my friends, this is the season that bids us to still our tongues and quiet our thoughts. It bids us to come to a position of reverence and to simply listen and worship King Jesus.
