Our Steps

The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.  Proverbs 16:9 NASB

My friends ask God! The Lord knows every detail of what we just came through, where we are stuck in the mud of here and now and what lies ahead – we can be confident our Heavenly Father has good intentions for His people when we ask Him first, when we grasp His hand and walk through the obstacles rather them seeing them as a brick wall. 

We need to figure out what it means to walk with our Lord through the haze of change. To practice knowing and embracing His presence as we navigate difficult situations. When we seek Jesus, our journey becomes less about knowing the outcome and more about knowing Him. We do this by staying close to God with a lifestyle of morning prayer and surrendering time from our daily schedules to Him, opening the Bible every day and absorbing His word for the truth.

When we seek to keep in step with Holy Spirit in the midst of change, we’re choosing to trust in our Lord and Savior. That He knows what’s best for us. That He has a plan. And that we can trust Him. Jesus Christ’s presence is not the passageway to our destination. He is the destination.  And asking Him for the next action we are to take, and then actually doing as He wills, is obedience and with obedience to God comes freedom! Hallelujah!
