Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:23-27 NASB
God takes us through life, we refer to segments as seasons, refining, pruning but we can rest assured, by Faith, that we are being transformed into His likeness and are commissioned to bear fruit for His kingdom. The fruit of Holy Spirit is evidence of God’s immense love for us. He loves each and every one of His created too much to leave us the way we are.
The people God puts in our lives or those He has cross our paths will see the faith that comes from accepting Jesus as our saviour, they will see traits, the fruits, like kindness, self-control, and patient endurance develop and sense something different in us. The presence of Jesus Christ! Only Jesus - Fulfiller of Life.
Our lives can be busy as we get caught up in ten different things or we could be in a slow lane where each day doesn’t seem to go by fast enough.
Either way if we, as followers of Christ, realize that with Jesus we have found our God-given purpose - and therefore know our lives will be infinitely fulfilled, we can really quite simply wear an unshakeable faith like it’s the warmest coat we’ve ever put on!
Mark 11:22-24 NASB And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
Without Jesus Christ our lives would mean nothing, our journey will have no kingdom impact and will lack fulfillment in fact We will perish.
Jesus Christ teaches us in John 6 that He is the Bread of Life and that whoever went to Him would never hunger or thirst again. Jesus- by using the analogy of bread - asks us to make Him our “staple” our sustenance.
In accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, we receive the gift of eternal life. And while eternity is our assured destination we will need Holy Spirt in our everyday to help us live with any kind of resilience, any wisdom, living out this walk with faith even when everything is upside down - trusting God joyfully and running purposefully our time gifted here.
How intentional are we in walking everyday with Jesus. Do we carve out time for moments with Him, do we faithfully persevere through a challenging circumstance and prioritize prayer and worship in our schedules ? Or better yet do we allow ourselves spontaneous song praising God while we travel through the days list of to do’s.
