All That God Gives

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.  Acts 4:12 NASB

…. This verse is powerful teaching …  that word …. “must.” “There is no other name under heaven given among men and women by which we MUST be saved.” 

Jesus is the reason we have our faith,  our worship, and our eternal salvation.   We believe in the name of Jesus Christ, and no other name is as worthy of our praise. He is the only way to God because He is God.  If we are to be saved, we MUST go through Him. He is the one way. 

If we want to escape the eternal punishment we justly deserve for our   rebellion against God it is necessary to acknowledge and declare Jesus Christ as the risen Saviour who was crucified for mankind’s sins- and conquering death - He rose again! It is absolutely necessary to accept that and believe it!  

And my friends Jesus Christ’s gift of sacrifice is a covering that is freely given to ALL - it is present, it is active and it is available for every person of every nation, every skin color, every language every culture on God’s created earth. It’s pretty important to clarify God’s gift of salvation is for all “Under heaven” as far as the east is from the west. 

There is no other name under heaven given among men . . .” This name isn’t something God broadcasts from above, while remaining safely tucked away in heaven, conveniently distant from all the dirt and grime of our lives, the mud of our sin and suffering. Rather, God Himself came “among men” in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah! 

John 6:37-38 NASB All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

God is all that is all that was and all that will be - He is distinct from everything else in creation, He dwells in the high and holy place, and there is no one and nothing in the world like Him. He exercises control and authority in all of creation, and the miraculous becomes possible. 

And because of the sacrifice Jesus gave mankind and the gift of Holy Spirit among us we get the choice of living a lifestyle of worship and praise to God, the king of kings. 

We embrace music at Gospel Garage -  music written for the Trinity - God Jesus Christ Holy Spirit, and the singing that we offer Him at church or in our living rooms should reflect what we have been doing every day of the week - carrying to Him praise on our lips and worship in our hearts because nothing confuses the dark more, whether it be human or satanic powers, than worship and praise from a believer’s lips. The enemy doesn’t know what to do with a Christian who is going through problems and yet instead of panicking continues worshipping the Lord— 

The Bible teaches that when Paul and Silas were jailed in Philippi, they had their hands put in chains, their feet in stocks, and their backs were bleeding because they were punished with whippings. 

Acts 16:25-26 NASB But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.

WHOA they were singing hymns and praising the Lord at midnight. In that moment, they were not asking to God “fix it” - No, they were singing - focused on Jesus Christ, trusting that He was with them through any outcome and then by mercy that is hard to wrap our thoughts around God caused a great earthquake that opened the jail to freedom. Amazing grace! Captives set free through the key of worship !!

Praying over this weeks notes I asked Holy Spirit what it means to worship the Lord? A revelation He offered is that worshipping God is to make a conscious choice to give all ultimate value to God, considering Him THE most important in our life. Above all powers, above all kings Above all nature and all created things Above all wisdom and all the ways of man !
