For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.  Ephesians 2:14 NLT

In this hostile world, may we walk as peacemakers, such that Christ gets all the glory. For in truth, He alone is able to make lasting peace.

Thank You Holy Spirit!!

Reading the Bible, God’s words paint a picture to me. They go deep into my heart and bring healing! I am a child of God. I am important to Him. The Lord wants to hear my needs and requests. He wants to be a part of my life, and I need Him to be my life. I need His life flowing down to me, flowing in me, and flooding my mind, body, and spirit. I need this because I need healing every day. And by His healing - my Physical spiritual and emotional healing - I can then step forth daily with Jesus, receiving an understanding of the people I meet and the tasks laid before me for God’s kingdom plan - that goes for each of us!

Our mind, body, and spirit are attacked every day. Life in this world crowds in and tries to steal our intimacy with God. Busyness leaves us rushing through the day, failing to see those around us, failing to see the needs around us. When we don’t have new strength from the Lord every morning, we don’t want to look and see the needs of others. We can’t! The burden is too great, so we just walk on by.

There is only one way off this merry-go-round, and that is prayer!

Psalms 116:1-2 NASB I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.

To carry peace like a coat - a shield - spend time with Jesus. “I love the Lord because He hears my voice and prayer for mercy”!

He hears. He has given us this one life to live. He knows all the people in our lives - whether they are a moments encounter in the store lineup or someone in your own household - He knows all the needs of their lives. And Holy Spirit has asked us to care, to intercede for them, to stand in the gap for them, to be a bridge for them to heaven, to stand with them in their fight!

Isaiah 26:1-4 NIV In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. You Lord will keep in perfect PEACE those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal.

The book of Isaiah is a picture of standing on solid ground to me. It’s the kind of victory I try to apply to my prayer life. I want to see healing in people’s lives. I want to believe for a job situation to be handled for a friend who is struggling or for reconciliation that returns a prodigal child home to Jesus:

Isaiah 49:22 NASB This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I will beckon to the nations, I will lift up my banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their hips.

Begin to see prayer as the standard, the banner that proclaims, “In the name of Jesus, this siege ends here and now!” Then wait and praise Him; then wait some more and praise Him.

in the name of Jesus Christ we are calling the armies of heaven to stand with us, to do what we cannot do. To bring peace to our communities. We are believing in God's provision, we trust the Lord who gives us the wisdom and discernment to live out the gifts of Holy Spirit thereby wearing the mantle of peacemaker that is Jesus Christ.
