Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalms 103:1-5 NIV
Praising God with songs of worship, is something we are super passionate about at Gospel Garage! The Bible uses so many different words in reference to praise, when you have a moment look up these verses Holy Spirit shared with us....
Glorify (Psalm 147:12),
Sing (Psalm 30:12),
Give thanks (Psalm 107:1),
Declare (Philippians 2:11),
Have joy (Psalm 98:4),
and so many more!
My friends let’s agree to read the Bible daily, to pray many times a day, and praise God as often as there are moments! It really doesn’t matter if the week is over scheduled or if you are sailing through a pretty easy season or struggling through some mud. Praise Him.
I don’t praise because of how I feel, I praise because of Who I believe in, Jesus Christ, and when we praise over our problems like the Bible teaches, it almost always changes the way that we feel and the perspectives that had turned our eyes away from Jesus.
Living as a Christian is not about having a perfect life. You and I don’t grow in God because we always get things right, we grow in Christ because we let Him into every part of our lives - even the mess! Expressing with our voice Holy Spirit’s song in our heart is about running to Him and making the choice to praise the name of the Lord our God, praise Jesus no matter what is happening in our daily lives or throughout the nations.
