And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NASB
It is awe inspiring to read God’s teachings through the Bible, humbling that Holy Spirit will give us the wisdom to walk where He asks us to walk, knowledge that teaches each of us to stand firm as a servant of the living God and give Him glory through a life lived out with faith in Jesus.
When we listen to Holy Spirit and honor Him with our lives, we will stride forth in calm and peace - literally have light pour forth from us! And even though we may not be able to control the environment we’re in, or the events taking place on the other side of Gods world, we can control how we carry ourselves in the midst of these moments in history.
Ezra 9:9 NASB For we are slaves; yet in our bondage our God has not forsaken us, but has extended lovingkindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us reviving to raise up the house of our God, to restore its ruins and to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.
I’m pretty sure We've mentioned it before…. how it appears at times as though the world is tilted - off kilter - and the enemy is enjoying the latest division it is playing with - and it feels like we are flamingos - all pink with what we information consume and yet standing trying to rest on one leg.... but when we acknowledge Jesus as the risen saviour He becomes our rest, our rock on whom we stand - so really the answer to each and every question…., confusion, despair, hope, joy… is Jesus Christ! Trust Jesus - accept Him as Your redeemer.
Because God restores.
He comforts us in disappointment.
He is gentle when we feel like an angry mess.
He is a quiet strength when frustration threatens to overwhelm us.
He disarms our best defences with His persistent grace.
He confronts our human pride with His perfect love.
He heals our bodies of disease & stress.
He covers hopeless situations with His Hope - the hope that does not disappoint.
He gives us the Grace to be like Him. And to overcome our challenges with Holy Spirit’s strength & joy.
