And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.  Revelation 21:5-8 NASB

Holy Spirit, remind us, we rely on Your word that God always comes, even if it is not at the moment we are waiting for.

And a reminder too that inviting Holy Spirit into our hearts is to move ourselves out of the way and make room for Him to dwell, It is so very important for us to understand that being filled with Holy Spirit is not an event, but that it must happen every single day in our lives. We need to pray to the Lord daily asking Him to fill us with Holy Spirit, without whom our lamp cannot shine, without whom our life will be empty.

Holy Spirit is the teacher of our faith, who comforts us, who advocates for us and shows us all the truth, who lifts our face, strengthens our weaknesses, and opens the way for us to enter into what God has prepared for us.  God is predictably unpredictable. He does what He wants, with whom He wants, how He wants, and when He wants. It is impossible to box God into our methods and our times. It is our duty to live awake and attentive, constantly waiting for the unexpected.

It is time to live with an awakened heart - prepared for any possibility, expecting the unexpected and walking through open doors. It is time to live awake and attentive to all that God wants to do for His kingdom through us.

Micah 7:7 NASB But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

May today be the start and the day we realize what we truly “have” and have freely been given by Jesus, simply by the power that His name carries. Before we say, “I have a headache,” what if we said, “I know I have healing because Jesus has given me authority over all the power of the enemy.” Before we say, “I have anxiety,” what if we said, “I feel overwhelmed with worry and anxiousness, but I know through Jesus I have authority over these feelings, and they will not control me.” Recognizing the authority we have received from Jesus Christ - it will change the way we see our situations and receive bad news because we know that these things are not what is final or eternal. Jesus is final. His death and His resurrection are the final words in your life. His death and His resurrection are where sickness, fear, anxiety, depression, doubt, insecurity, and lack were forever finished. In every moment, live in the authority of the One who defeated every form of death.

Let us watch for Jesus’ return. Be vigilant, for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, is coming back. We do not know the time nor the hour, but we must watch, worship, praise and pray so that when He returns, He will not find us asleep.
