Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  Matthew 4:1-4 NASB

That’s why it matters who and what we worship because that is who or what we will serve - be it our wealth, our career, our family or our ministry even.

Make the effort everyday- throughout the day, to keep your thoughts on Jesus, pray, talk with Him, worship, sing to Him, because anything that takes the place of God in our life is an idol and inevitably an idol leads us away from God.

Only Jesus - King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

His authority was not given by man but by God Himself and His kingdom was not of this world. When Jesus walked the earth He taught, healed and delivered people with the power and authority of God Himself.

When people met Jesus they acknowledged the power and authority that Jesus had and believed in Him- like a floodgate opened and pouring His life into and over their lives.

His power and authority are not brash and demeaning of others but rather it is understanding our position in Christ.

It’s knowing that we are co-heirs with Christ. His surrender to God, His forgiving others of wrongs done to Him, It’s believing that we can do what Jesus did for others if we abide in Him…..  If we accept and receive Jesus Christ as our risen Saviour…... If we acknowledge that Jesus was crucified and conquering death He rose again.

Because we can never partake of His promises,  power and authority if we don’t submit completely to the Lordship of Christ in our life. Our stance must be one of humility and total surrender to Him.

Amazing grace! Jesus is King of a Kingdom like no other. It’s a Kingdom founded in the hearts of those who love Christ and who dedicate their lives in His service. This Kingdom is unseen but very real, it’s supernatural in its expansion and it is all inclusive in nature. It’s an upside down-right side up kingdom which causes its citizens to live impactful lives for God’s people while on earth.
