Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me. Revelation 3:20
The Lord longs to be close to us, Creator and Created, to share His best with us, eternity, but He will never force Himself into our life or our heart.
Is there space in your life for Christ to come and dwell in it?
This week I’m going to make the time to ask myself some hard questions, will you join me?
….. have I filled my heart and mind with so many other things, pursuits, worries, and anxieties, that there is no room for Holy Spirit to dwell?
Come, now is the time to worship, to praise God, to take every moment you are swimming thru to Holy Spirit for discernment, wisdom, faith. Now is the time to hang out with Jesus Christ, be alert for His return.
Luke 21:25-28 NIV There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
Stay ready. Pray for strength. Worship God, not the things of the world. Be focused. Sing praises for all that He saved us from, forgives us for, creates, shared, promises His people. Guard against distraction. Pay attention. These are instructions from Jesus. This life is preparation for the next. Don’t forget it.
Psalms 146:1-2 NIV Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Whatever you are full of today, the glory of the Lord is better. The glory of God is the beauty that comes from His character. It is one of the many reasons that He deserves our worship.
Our glory, our pursuits, and our accomplishments are temporary. Everything this world glorifies and celebrates is.
Some things may feel important and permanent right now, but those are not the things that will last.
God’s glory will never pass away. It is always relevant. It always exists and it is always with us.
