Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! How beautiful it is when we sing our praises to the beautiful God, for praise makes you lovely before Him and brings Him great delight!  Psalms 147:1 TPT

Our relationship with God grows as we spend time in prayer, spend time praising Him, worship,

I paused the other day praying about tonight’s message and asked myself … When is the last time I took five minutes to just talk to Jesus? What would your answer be if you asked yourselves the same question?

And thank You God, we are bewildered by Your grace!  That You prepare and provide moments with You, anytime we seek and wow- humbled!!  Our prayers don't have to be perfect for the Lord to hear us, and our lives most certainly do not have to look perfect either.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 TPT Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit.

God just wants to hear from us, from you me, our neighbours…. . He desires connection ….So why not begin with an honest conversation?

The Bible teaches us there is power in our prayers and the name of Jesus.

God doesn’t need our eloquent words. We are His sons and daughters, and He wants us to draw close and lean on Him, even in the darkest moments.  He is waiting for us to reach out, to acknowledge and accept Him with wonder and awe, gratefulness in our thoughts, admiration in our hearts so that He may take our hand and lead us here and now!

There’s no wrong way to talk and connect with God- Jesus Christ gave us that immeasurable gift - we can talk to Jesus anytime, no matter what we are going through.

Just offer up a thought or a word to the King of Kings. Share with Him whatever you’re thinking about. Tell Him what's on your heart, and yes, thank Him for who He is.

It’s not a religion, it’s a friendship.  Just talk to God like He's your Father and like He's your friend - because that’s what He is.

James 5:16 TPT Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!

Our culture moves at a faster pace than any other society in history. For better or worse, most minutes and hours are filled with noise from the outside world.

We carry around devices that constantly demand our attention. With every notification, our hearts and minds are drawn to things that may not actually be the most important thing.

In our clamor to be all-knowing and always connected, many of us have lost touch with some of life's most important things.

Our priorities are skewed because our attention is divided. But it was never supposed to be this way.

We miss the mark when we replace God’s presence with things that we think will satisfy. Our sin and selfishness hinder us from fully experiencing the power that is available to us through Holy Spirit.

Wow my friends! I have to almost pinch myself when I realize that we have direct access to the almighty, all-powerful, all-knowing God. He is full of everything we could ever need- including what we think we need but don’t.

Imagine how life might change if we committed regular time to draw close to Him, get quiet, and listen for His voice? And then thank Him, truly, reverently, for ALL OF THE THINGS THE CIRCUMSTANCES VALLEYS MOUNTAIN TOPS ALL OF IT.

You might find that your perspectives begin to change.

Your countenance gets a little lighter.

Your worship becomes deeper.

Hope and light might begin to appear.

Maybe all we need to do to get a taste of heaven here on earth is to draw closer to the One who holds the keys.

It all starts with honest, intentional time with the Lord.

It doesn't have to be perfect or complicated but start today. Play some worship music! I don’t think we can encourage this enough! All praise to the Lord most high!
